    Can anyone give me anyone good information on the whol diagnosis axis idea? I am starting to code e/m consults for psych and am not familiar with this.

    Get yourself a DSM and have a social worker or someone similar sit down with you and go over it. That is the best way.

    The multi-axial system is nothing more than a method of "arranging" diagnoses or conditions that affect (or may) patient treatment.
