    Default alcohol abuse vs dependence

    AAPC: Back to School
    Can someone explain the difference ? If the doctor puts alcohol abuse with alcoholic cirrhosis

    I found the definition of the two but i guess my question now is can you code alcohol dependence if the doctor states just alcohol abuse ?
