Discharge code or subsequent code?

    Default Discharge code or subsequent code?
    Medical Coding Books
    If a pt is in patient and is being transferred to another facility would there be a subsequent charge or a discharge charge for the date of transfer?

    Cool Transfer from on facility to another
    A discharge code would be used from the previous facility then an admit code would be used for the facility being transferred to.
