Patient's diagnosis is displaced femoral neck fracture due to fall.

Decision was made to do a total hip replacement.

Is it correct to code 27130 for a hip fracture. Both ball and socket were replaced.

Usually code 27236 for hip fractures, but surgeon felt patient would be better

27130 is correct since a total was done. 27236 is for a fracture however it only covers a hemi.
