    Default Billing a Office visit for discussion of results
    Medical Coding Books
    Can any of you tell me if you are billing for a OV when a patient comes in for discussion of results of a test for example a breast biospy and MD documents time?

    Yes, if the purpose of the visit is to discuss results and create a treatment plan.

    Yes, an office visit is an appropriate charge

    Yes, an E&M is appropriate as long as there is not a global period attached to the original procedure.
