    Question pre-op exam

    AAPC: Back to School
    pt came in for pre-op exam for cataracts Physician coded it as


    Should he have used v72.83 instead of V72.84?

    V72.83 states: Other specified pre-op exam

    V72.84 states: Pre-op examination, unspecified

    We have always used V72.83 are we coding our pre-op's wrong

    kimb - we always use the V72.83 also ... (I wonder how much difference it really makes though)
