Default transvaginal sonogram for obese patient

    AAPC: Back to School
    Hello everyone,
I work for GYN , there are a lot of obese patients, who come to the office just for regular check up, no complaints, but Dr needs to do sonogarm anyway to make sure if everything is fine. No abnormal findings. What Dx would u bill for the sono?

Since you said that you work at an OBGYN... Take a look at V72.31. I think this would cover it since all they are doing is an annual exam without the mention of a Pap Smear.

    Hope this helps.
