Default Venous Ablation of Great Saphenous Vein

    AAPC: Back to School
I have a question regarding coding for Radiofrequency Ablation of the Great Saphenous Vein. Normally our physician makes one access site and completes the Radiofrequency of the Vein. However this example, he made the one access site, but couldnt get through due to tortuosity. So he had to make another access site to complete his Ablation. Its only on the one vein. Is is still 36475 or is there another code since he had to make another access site? I do not want to charge 36476 since only one vein was treated. Please advise. Thanks

If it is the same vein same extremity will be 36475
