    Work Experience:

    Walter T. K. Wong, MD – West Allis, WI
    April 2007–present – Practice Manager
    In this position, I work independently under the direction of the doctor to manage the activities of his single physician practice. I directly manage his staff to satisfy the needs of his patient population. I am responsible for all compliance, training and supervision. In the day to day, I do all of the medical coding, charging, billing and review. My duties include payroll, all office accounting, and coordination of all dictation, which we sometimes outsource. I identify and implement process improvement to enhance the patient experience and increase reimbursement to the doctor.

    Aurora Health Care – Milwaukee, WI
    July 2006-February 2007 – Patient Access Representative / Patient Access Services
    In this position I worked directly with patients in the emergency room at West Allis Memorial Hospital, collecting and recording all patient demographics, including patient consent. I became familiar with Cerner, our patient database.
    Children's Hospital and Health System – Wauwatosa, WI
    September 2003-May 2006 – Administrative Assistant / Medical Staff Office
    In this position, I provided administrative support for the President of the Medical Dental Staff, the Medical Directors, and Committee Chairs. My responsibilities included the coordination of the following committees: Parliamentary, Joint Patient Care, Patient Care-Surgery, Ethics Advisory, Physician Quality Advisory and the Medical Staff Funds committee; which included managing the Medical Staff Funds account, collecting all staff dues and reporting account activity to the Committee Chair and the Medical Executive Committee. I collected all staff expirable information, assisting the credentialing process. I created and updated daily spreadsheets and reports, housing them on the Medical Staff Office shared drive as an instant communication tool. I coordinated the Physician Observer program, and I planned staff outings, banquets and special events. I became proficient in MIDAS, our physician database.

    June 1998–September 2003 – Administrative Assistant / Security Services
    In this position, I supported the Security Director, Manager and Shift Supervisors. I managed the security access and parking control systems. I was part of the hospital orientation process for all new employees, physicians and students. I also planned department meetings, outings and special events, including coordination of the hospital wide Take Your Child To Work Day event. I developed, coordinated and performed all department office and clerical functions. I became proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, and in WIN-PAK, our ID Badge system software.

    Cudahy High School graduate

    Professional Memberships: American Association of Professional Coders - Active member since March 2010. Completed training and received my Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certificate in August 2010
