using the correct modifiers

  1. Default using the correct modifiers
    Medical Coding Books
    A pt presents to the office for an office visit and ekg
    99214-25
    93000
    Then the Dr decides to place a holter moniter
    93224
    So I put a 25 on the 99214
    But the EKG always gets denied do I need another modifier?
    Thanks Nancy

    Yep, you need a 59 on the 93000, otherwise it is considered bundled into the 93224.
