I am having a debate with someone, for our facility -

a patient comes to the ASC for pain management injection.
for a sacroiliac joint injection under fluoro guidance,

would we still use the TC for the facility in billing for the fluoroscopic guidance?

    Thanks, Sue

We bill 77003 with 27096. Fluoroscopy is not listed in the description for the injection. In the CPT under 27096 it lists 73542 and 77003 for "Radiology Crosswalk."

    64493, 64494 and 64495 include the fluoroscopy.

For 2012, 27096 includes either fluoro or CT guidance so guidance codes may not be separately coded.
