Question Looking for most common ICD-9 codes - class of non-coders
    Exam Training Packages
I'm instructing ICD-9-CM to a class of non-coders that will be seeking front office jobs and am hoping someone can provide me with a list of the most common diagnoses for the specialty. I have them for one month and can't cover all of it! I would be very grateful for any help!

Don't forget about all the fracture codes and the Aftercare codes. That is what even my MD's have a lot of issues with.
    V54.1X
    V43.65
    V43.64
    V54.81
    V58.78
    V58.43

And the difference between an acute vs old/degenerative tears
    844.0 vs 717.81
    836.1 vs 717.41
    844.1 vs 717.82
    836.0 vs 717.0
    840.7 vs 718.91
    840.8 vs 718.91
    840.4 vs 727.61

    complication codes
    996.67
    996.66
    996.77
    996.78

AGain these are what my MD's have a problem with coding so I feel they would be good to touch base on. It is more diffcult than just looking up the code and takes a little more knowledge.
    Good Luck!
