    Medical Coding Books
    pt comes in to medical er for suicide attempt ,medical dr do all the exam and ask for psych dr to visit pt what are cpt code foe billing these two dr?

    The ER (or ED) is an outpatient facility of the hospital.

    I notice that you replied to your own message so you could present additional information and questions.

    There is a better way to accomplish this, especially when you realize the deficiency within minutes of posting your first message.     you would code just the ed provider and due to asking for a consult with the psych dr. you would add that to the MDM when putting your level on the acct. the psych office would code for the consult that the psych made at the ed.
