Shave removals

    Medical Coding Books
    If i have a shave removal done under both breast and the total lesions are 6cm all together do i just use 11303 once or twice?

    You do not add lesion sizes together. Lesions are coded separately.

    Ok so since they are under both breast do i do two sepreat codes depending on the size?

    yes you bill a separate code for each using the code that matches each individual size and then use a 59 modifier on the smallest size or if the same code then use a 59 on the second code.
