    Default Injection billing & reporting

    AAPC: Back to School
In a hospital setting if patient brings their own medication (Ex: depo provera ) and nurse adminsters how do you bill the insurance?

Is it ok to use only the administration code 96372?

    Thanks for your feedback

you use the 96372 and for some carriers you also need to use the J code with no more than a $.01 charge which you adjust off.
