    Default attending physician

    AAPC: Back to School
if our doc is the 'attending physician' on a cath procedure, how should this be billed? an interventional fellow performed the cath & dictated the rpt.

As long as the attending was present for the entire procedure and that is documented in the report, then it would be billed under the attending as a teaching physician.
