OPERATION PERFORMED: REALIGHNMENT OF MCP JOINT WITH VOLAR PLATE RELEASE AND REALIGNMENT EXTENSOR TENDON LEFT RING FINGER

INCISION MADE OVER THE EXTENDSOR ASPECT OF THE MCP JOINT AND THE LEFT RING FINGER AND AFTER GOING THROUGH SKIN, WE DISSECTED DOWN WITH PICKUPS AND SISSORS DOWN TO THE EXTENSOR HOOD WHICH WE RELEASED IN A LONGITUDINAL FASHION ON THE RADIAL ASPECT OF THE EXTENDOR TENDON. WE THEN OPENED THE JOINT CAPSULE IN A LONGITUDAL FASHION AND RELEASED BOTH COLLATERAL LIGAMENTS AND THEN USING A FREER ELEVATOR RELEASED THE VOLAR PLATE COMPLETELY. WE THEN WERE ABLE TO EXTEND THE MCP JOINT AND BRING IT BACK UP TO NUETRAL POSITION AND FIRED A PERCUTANEOUS 00.45 K-WIRE FROM PROXIMAL TO DISTAL THROUGH THE FOURTH METACARPAL ACROSS THE MCP JOINT WITH INTERRUPTED FIGURE OF 8 4*0 MERSILENE AND THE HAD TO RELEASE ACTUALLY THE ULNAR ASPECT OF THE EXTENSOR HOOD. WE ALSO RELEASED A JUNCTURAE TENDINUM BETWEEN THE EDQ AND THE EDC TO THE FOURTH FINGER AND ROLLED IT OVER ONTO AND REPAIRED IT INTO THE RADIAL ASPECT OF THE EXTENSOR HOOD. THIS REALAIGNED THE EXTENSOR TENDON OVER THE MCP JOINT. WE IRRIGATED THE WOUND WITH NORMAL SALINE. WE HAD BENT AND CUT THE K-WIRE. WE CLOSED THE SKIN USING MATTRESS SUTURES DRESSED THE WOUND WITH ...........AND OUT THE PATIENT IN A VOLAR FIBERGLASS SPINT .

I WILL BE SO THANKFUL FOR ANY HELP
