Supplies?

  1. Default Supplies?

Ok this may seem like a dumb question but I'm confusing myself.

We have a pediatrician that is wanting to bill for all kinds of supplies. Example: a catheterization is done in office cpt 51701, he wants to bill the catheter separately as a supply.
Isn't the catheter considered as part of the procedure?

    thanks,

Supplies are considered a part of the procedure. Each procedure is assigned an RVU "relative value unit" that includes the supplies and work needed to perform such service.
