Charging for billing statements

  1. Default Charging for billing statements
    Medical Coding Books
I know that State Law determines how much can be billed related to providing a copy of a patient's medical records. What I'm wanting to know is if anyone routinely bills for lawyers requesting copies of financial statements. We have this request quite often when a case is liability situations. How would you determine what is an appropriate fee to charge for the statement?

  2. #2
For itemized statements, we do not charge, only medical records.
