    need help with dx for possible exposure to hepatitis. Could you use
    V01.79 Other viral diseases, because the V02 codes are for carrier or suspected carrier

    since the key word is POSSIBLE...I would not code it this way unless you can confirm that there was actual exposure to the disease.

    I was taught that as physician coders, we never code "possibilities"

    I Stand Not Sure Why I Did Not Note The "possible" In The Scenario
