Wiki Adding new therapist issues

I have a new therapist that wants to work one day off site. She is renting a space/office from another practice to see her clients one day a week. She has leased this herself. It is not one of our locations. How do we bill for this? Can I add this new office to our existing practice information and current insurance contracts when we do not lease this office, our name is not on this practice anywhere nor is it under our group NPI? Can this be done and how would I do it?

In my opinion, if she is paying for the space herself and it is not affiliated with your practice, she should be submitting her own billing.

I would agree, if the therapist is acting independently at that location and it's not under the management of your organization, then it's not a part of your practice and shouldn't be credentialed as one of your locations with your payers.
