Question: Which anesthesia code is best for a procedure described as dilation and evacuation? The diagnosis is retained placenta, which I assume is 667.00 (retained placenta without hemorrhage).

The procedure is either post-delivery retention or post-miscarriage/spontaneous abortion/missed abortion retention. It is a vaginal procedure, and therefore is included in 00940.
