Answer: The MSI system, recently purchased by Infocure in Atlanta, allows for multiple start and stop times. Infocure eventually plans to use this system for all its anesthesia billing programs, according to one of its clients in Pensacola, Fla.
Other billing software vendors hopefully will follow suit, considering the new HCFA ruling. Check with your vendor to see if anything is in the works, or contact other anesthesia coders to learn what software they use.
