Ohio Subscriber

Answer: The correct diagnosis depends on which area the physician treats. If he treats the lumbar or lumbosacral region, report 724.02 (Spinal stenosis; lumbar region). For the cervical region, use 723.0 (Spinal stenosis in cervical region), and use 724.01 (Spinal stenosis, thoracic region) for the thoracic.
If the region is unspecified, submit 724.00 (Spinal stenosis, unspecified region).
