In the reader question "Tissue Transfer and Repair Codes Complete Your Excision Cases" in the November 2004 issue of Dermatology Coding Alert, the last sentence, "You should report the appropriate repair code if the repair required more than a simple closure" was incorrect. Instead, the last sentence should have read, "You should not report a repair code in addition to the adjacent tissue transfer code."
