Correction:

Global Days for 11044

The July 2004 General Surgery Coding Alert ("3 Questions You Must Ask Yourself When Coding Decubitus Ulcers," page 51) incorrectly stated that code 11044 (Debridement; skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscle and bone) included a 90-day global period. In fact, according to the 2004 National Physician Fee Schedule database, 11044 includes a 10-day global period.
