Dispensing Fee On Deck For Inhalation Drugs Respiratory companies may not be out of business after all.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is planning a 2005 dispensing fee of $55 to $64 per month for certain inhalation drugs, it says in its response to a new Government Accounting Office report recommending a fee.

The dispensing fee aims to make up for the nearly 90 percent cut to inhalation drugs set for Jan. 1 (see Eli's HCW, Vol. XIII, No. 28, p. 219).
