Gauge Your Past Performance and Steer Your Agency Higher

Introducing Eli's 2006 Home Health Operations Dashboard presented by Eli's Home Care Week and BKD Health Care Group

A pilot wouldn't fly a plane without a complete set of precise, accurate instruments, and neither should an administrator operate a home health agency without complete information on its position. That's why Eli Research, in cooperation with BKD Health Care Group, a division of BKD, LLP, is pleased to introduce a clear and comprehensive set of instruments designed to help you operate more effectively: Eli's Home Health Operations Dashboard.

The Home Health Operations Dashboard--a project graciously co-sponsored by the Missouri Alliance for Home Care and the Indiana Association for Home & Hospice Care, Inc.--is a vital complement to the industry insights and analysis this publication provides each week. In fact, you'll be surprised your agency ever operated without its information.

This exciting tool is a customized operations dashboard report that compares your home health agency's utilization, cost and profitability information to an aggregated peer group of other home health agencies in your home state, as well as the operations of other agencies in your home state and the nation.

Eli and BKD have built the Dashboard from some of the most complete data available for any benchmarking product on the market. The Medicare cost reports of freestanding and provider-based home health agencies, compiled using data obtained directly from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, serve as the source for the report. Complex and powerful algorithms, developed by BKD specifically for this project, translate this data into meaningful indicators organized in an easy-to-read and easy-to-reference format.

Because of this precision--and the unique, customized structure of each report--Eli's Home Health Operations Dashboard should be a key operating tool for agencies of all sizes across the country.

Agencies that purchase the Dashboard will be able to gauge their practice against their peers as well as state and national averages with key indicators as diverse as case-mix weight, home health aide salary cost per visit and average profitability per episode. This is comprehensive information agencies are unlikely to find anywhere else and that simply wouldn't be practical to attempt to compile themselves.

We know that Home Care Week subscribers demand precise information and analysis to help them make sound business decisions and provide the highest quality care, so Eli and BKD have developed the Dashboard to the same exacting standards that go into every issue of our newsletters. The specialized analysis of Eli's 2006 Home Health Operations Dashboard, together with the full suite of Eli's home health publications, completes one of the most trusted and reliable packages of home health industry information, news, and advice available to home health professionals today.
