CMS Tells Surveyors To Put New Emphasis On Infection Control In Light Of Coronavirus Threat

Home care providers should always comply with infection control practices, but the emergence of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) should underscore its importance. A Feb. 6 Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services letter to surveyors emphasizes survey requirements in relation to the virus, including Emergency Preparedness plan implications.
