Head Off Claims Delays With New MAC Addresses

Just when you've gotten used to sending your documents to one mailing address for new HHH MAC CGS, you may have to send them to a new one. "Effective December 5, 2011, CGS will be consolidating our mailroom locations to coincide with the final transition of our J15 segments," the MAC notes on its website. CGS offers the new addresses online at http://cgsmedicare.com/hhh/pubs/news/2011/1011/WR292.html. "Please closely check that you are using the correct address for each inquiry type," CGS urges. "When mail is sent to the wrong address for the inquiry type, it results in a delay in processing that inquiry/claim." For example: If you're currently using the Chattanooga, Tenn., address, you'll need to switch to the one in Nashville that CGS lists on its site.
