Industry Note:

Hospice Quality Reporting Info Available Online

You can take a look at the proposed forms for the voluntary hospice quality reporting period via a link at www.cms.gov/LTCH-IRF-Hospice-Quality-Reporting/10_HospiceQualityReporting.asp. "We encourage hospices to participate in this voluntary quality data submission opportunity in order to inform future design of hospice quality reporting," CMS says on the website. CMS plans to ask for four items for the period that will start by Jan. 31: (1) Organizational information such as name, address, CCN, NPI; (2) Contact information for the person submitting the data; (3) Whether the hospice's current QAPI program includes at least three patient care related indicators; and (4) Additional details about each of the hospice's QAPI indicators.
