Regional Chain Buys Virginia Private Duty Provider

Regional chain CareSouth Health System Inc. is acquiring private duty provider Family Care Inc. with locations in Richmond and Colonial Heights, Va., it says in a release. Family Care will retain its name and employees. "Private duty is something new for Care-South," CareSouth CEO Rick Griffin says in a release. "As we move forward with Family Care, we anticipate expanding this line across the CareSouth  service area and into other markets, as well." CareSouth has 40 locations in seven states serving about 20,000 patients annually, it says.
