Check This Crucial List Twice To See If Your Employees Have Been Naughty Or Nice — Or Risk Paying Big

If you want to avoid a potential six-figure civil money penalty, you may want to learn from an example of what not to do.

After it self-disclosed conduct to HHS Office of Inspector General, Advent Home Health in Nevada agreed to pay nearly $264,000 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law, the OIG says on its CMP webpage. “OIG alleged that Advent employed an individual that it knew or should have known was excluded from participation in Federal health care programs,” the agency reveals.
