Contractor Discontinues Medicare Denial Letters

If you need a Medicare denial to bill another payer for your services and Palmetto GBA is your Medicare contractor, you have a new process to follow. Starting this month, "Palmetto GBA will no longer provide denial letters upon request to home health and hospice providers," the HHH MAC says on its website. "If you require a notice of denial from Medicare, submit a claim for denial purposes."
