Hospital Closes HHA

One Illinois hospital is closing its home care unit, thanks to deteriorating reimbursement. St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, Ill., is shuttering its home health agency July 27, reports the Bloomington-Normal Pantagraph newspaper. Hos-pital officials hope the move, in conjunction with closing the hospital’s OB department, will put the 125-year-old hospital in the black next year, the Pantagraph says.
