Therapy Claims System Glitch Now Resolved

You can expect to get your money back from one Medicare claims system glitch by June 30. The problem: On claims billed with therapy HCPCS codes in CR 7050, the coinsurance payments were being calculated incorrectly, HHH MAC Palmetto GBA says on its website. More than 40 therapy CPT codes and three G codes were affected. The solution: "The system fix for this issue went in successfully on May 9," Palmetto says. "Previously submitted claims are being adjusted by Palmetto GBA and will be completed by June 30."
