California Sales Rep Sues Hospice Chain Employer

Coronavirus-related lawsuits from employees are underway. For example: A San Mateo, California employee is suing VITAS Healthcare for violating shelter-in-place orders and placing its employees and nursing home staff and residents at risk of Covid-19, according to news outlets. VITAS sales rep Kristina Eisenacher says she was encouraged to ignore Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance and enter nursing homes to make sales calls to physicians and others, the suit alleges. VITAS didn’t respond to a request for comment by press time.
