CMS Unveils 11 New Hospice G-Codes

You may just be getting used to the new G-codes for nursing services, but other new hospice G-codes are likely on the way.
In CR 9459, CMS offers 11 new hospice-related G-codes in addition to the newly implemented G0299 (home health/hospice RN) and G0300 (home health/hospice LPN).
“These codes correlate to the ‘visits at the end of life’ measure that the National Quality Forum is reviewing and CMS is developing,” as well as an oncology quality measure under development, believes the National Association for Home Care & Hospice. “We believe these codes will be used on hospice claims in the future,” NAHC adds.
