Examine These New Changes To The HIS Manual

If you missed CMS’s June 17 National Provider Call covering the updated Hospice Item Set Manual, you can still catch up.
In addition to posting V1.02 of the HIS Manual, which “provides clarifications of HIS item definitions and expectations for use,” the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has also posted slides and notes from the call, a change table outlining the revisions from the old V1.01 to the new V1.02 manual, a new question-and-answer set issued in July, and more at www.cms.gov/Medicare/Quality-Initiatives-Patient-Assessment-Instruments/Hospice-Quality-Reporting/Hospice-Item-Set-HIS.html.
