Hospice News:

Hospices Merge, Sell

Market consolidation in the hospice industry continues.

In Las Vegas: Nathan Adelson Hospice will acquire Las Vegas Solari Hospice Care, owned by HealthCare Partners Nevada, NAH says in a release. Non-profit NAH serves an average of 400 patients daily, says the agency founded in 1978.

In South Carolina: Non-profit Hospice of Laurens County will merge with Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, according to press reports. “We look forward to helping them gain strength and meet the challenges of the changing health care industry,” says Charlotte CEO Pete Brunnick in the Charlotte Observer. Charlotte has four locations in North and South Carolina and $60 million in annual revenues, the newspaper says.
