The Hospice Item Set data you’re submitting now will affect your 2017 payment rates, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services points out on its website.
“Patient admissions occurring from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015 will impact the FY 2017 APU determination,” CMS explains. Hospices had to report only a half-year of data for 2016 payment, CMS notes — July 1, 2014 through Dec. 31, 2014.
