S. 911. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for reimbursement of certified midwife services and to provide for more equitable reimbursement rates for certified nurse-midwife services. Introduced April 27 by Sen. Kent Conrad (D-ND), referred to the Committee on Finance.

S. 933. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for improvements in access to services in rural hospitals and critical access hospitals. Introduced by Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS), referred to the Committee on Finance.

The following bills were introduced in the House:

H.R. 1819. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to enhance the access of Medicare beneficiaries who live in medically underserved areas to critical primary and underserved areas to critical primary and preventative health care benefits at federally qualified health centers. Referred by Rep. Jerry Weller (R-IL), referred to the Committee on Ways and Means and the Committee on Energy and Commerce.

H.R. 1946. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to expand and improve coverage of mental health services under the Medicare Program. Introduced April 27 by Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means and to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.
