More PRF Payments Are on the Horizon, HHS Announces
If you’ve been waiting for another update on Provider Relief Fund (PRF) payments, the feds have announced another tranche. Update: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is distributing a fourth round of Provider Relief Fund (PRF) phase 4 payments, this time totaling $413 million, HHS says in a release. Overall, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has paid out nearly $12 billion to more than 82,000 providers since November 2021, HHS says. “Health care providers are doing critical work on the frontlines of the fight against COVID-19,” HRSA Administrator Carole Johnson says in the release. “Provider Relief Fund resources are continuing to help meet these essential needs and maintain access to key health services across the country.” Find a breakdown of Phase 4 payments by state at www.hrsa.gov/provider-relief/data/general-distribution/phase-4-general-distribution-payments.
