More PRF Payments Are on the Horizon, HHS Announces

If you’ve been waiting for another update on Provider Relief Fund (PRF) payments, the feds have announced another tranche.

Update: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is distributing a fourth round of Provider Relief Fund (PRF) phase 4 payments, this time totaling $413 million, HHS says in a release.

Overall, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has paid out nearly $12 billion to more than 82,000 providers since November 2021, HHS says. “Health care providers are doing critical work on the frontlines of the fight against COVID-19,” HRSA Administrator Carole Johnson says in the release. “Provider Relief Fund resources are continuing to help meet these essential needs and maintain access to key health services across the country.”
