The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Oct. 1 released the latest round of new waived tests approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Since these tests are marketed immediately after approval, CMS explains in a One-Time Notification (Trans. 5; http://cms.hhs.gov/manuals/pm_trans/R5OTN.pdf), contractors need to know about them so they can process claims accurately. In a second One-Time Notification, CMS updates the table of contents for the CMS manual system (Trans. 6; http://cms.hhs.gov/manuals/pm_trans/R6OTN.pdf).
