The interest rate for Medicare overpayments and underpayments will remain steady at 12 percent, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says in a Jan. 28 program transmittal (change request 2829). Last year at this time, interest rates were pegged at 11.25 percent. In other recent program transmittals, CMS: announces payment increases for rural health clinics and federally qualified health centers (CR 3075); updates claim processing policies relating to "WW" codes for oral anti-cancer drugs (CR 2863);

announces the installation of version 31 of the Provider Statistical and Reimbursement Reporting System (CR 3073); and implements Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act pricing file clarifications (CR 3105).
