Heads up, durable medical equipment suppliers. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has updated its list of "K" codes for wheelchair cushions. In a May 14 program transmittal (change request 3289), CMS lists the 20 new codes (K0650-K0669) and descriptors, which will go into effect July 1. In other recent program transmittals, CMS:

outlines changes in its transitional outpatient payment policy (CR 3214);

gives contractors new marching orders relating to comprehensive error rate testing (CR 3157); and
