ICD-10 Delayed Another Year

It was not an April Fool’s Day joke when, on Tuesday, April 1, President Obama signed the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014 (H.R. 4302) bill into law. The law requires the federal government to delay the adoption of ICD-10-CM/PCS for at least one year. Therefore, you won’t need to start using ICD-10 on Oct. 1, 2014 as originally planned.
