Here's a convenient list of all the new-for-2006 sleep disorder diagnoses. You can use this list to update your superbills, or simply to educate your physicians and coders about what's coming in the months ahead.
 
Remember: The new codes become effective Oct. 1, 2005, and will be mandatory for use on Jan. 1, 2006.

327.19 - Other organic hypersomnia
327.20 - Organic sleep apnea, unspecified
327.21 - Primary central sleep apnea
327.22 - High-altitude periodic breathing
327.23 - Obstructive sleep apnea (adult) (pediatric)
327.24 - Idiopathic sleep-related non-obstructive alveolar hypoventilation
327.26 - Sleep-related hypoventilation/hypoxemia in conditions classifiable elsewhere
