Question: Can 62290 and 62287 be reported for the same level?Alaska SubscriberAnswer: Code 62287 (Decompression procedure, percutaneous, of nucleus pulposus of intervertebral disc, any method, single or multiple levels, lumbar [eg, manual or automated percutaneous discectomy, percutaneous laser discectomy]) is inclusive of discography and hence you do not bill 62290 (Injection procedure for discography, each level; lumbar) together with 62287.
