Nonroutine Medical Supplies (NRS): Case-Mix Adjustment Variables and Point Scores

This table, formerly Table 10A of the final PPS rules (CMS-1541-FC), shows how nonroutine supply (NRS) categories and OASIS-C items combine to generate NRS points. CMS revised this table in November 2009, so that it corresponds with the OASIS-C items. There were no changes made to the number of points. These changes were made as part of CMS's case-mix grouper update. (www.cms.gov/HomeHealthPPS/05_CaseMixGrouperSoftware.asp).
